5 reasons for co-working
Published: 11.08.2016
The number of co-working spaces has been growing exponentially all over the world. More and more people are starting to see the advantages of building a company along with others in the same situation. Read on and see what some of the XLR8'ers have said about their space.
Entrepreneurship is a lonely journey. As you struggle through multiple decisions each day, you often find yourself with no one to talk to. No one who's been where you're at, having walked a mile in your shoes. After a while "the grind" starts taking its toll, and motivation starts seeping out. We've all been there, one way or another.

Co-Traveling
We're all headed somewhere. However, what binds entrepreneurs together is that we're all walking a specific path. Some of us have been walking for ages, others have just started.
A co-working hub gives us a chance to walk alongside one another. Talking shit, giving advice, drinking beer. Here's a list of some of the benefits people joining XLR8HUB have reported.
1. Talking trash
XLR8HUB is probably the definition of the word unfancy. If feeling important is essential to you, we're probably not the place. We laugh, we're loud, and we talk about everything. Any decent co-working space let's you meet different people with different skills and different backgrounds. So when you're in the thick of it, working your ass off, you can take a moment, relax and talk trash with other hub-dwellers. Sometimes, taking a break is the most productive thing you can do.
2. Getting shit done
Seeing others hard at work creates a feeling of urgency. Why aren't you working as well? It's
simply inspiring seeing someone you know who's struggling, staying late and showing up early to find a solution. Passion begets passion.
3. Know somebody who knows somebody who knows somebody
Network is everything if you're trying to grow fast. Being part of a community can expand your list of advisers, customers, investors, and business partners rapidly. We have already seen new businesses spring up from partnerships formed at the hub. It's easy to start cranking on that good idea when you're surrounded by other "doers".

4. Let home be home, and work be work
Working from home can often lead to a quite terrible work/life-balance where you work a little, all of the time. Many people who end up at XLR8HUB are often driven by the desire to be able to "come home from a hard day's work," and relax.
5. It (can be) cheap
Spending lots of money on rent in the early phases of your business is a bit like buying 8-ply toilet paper when you're starving. XLR8HUB doesn't have expensive coffee machines, zen gardens, or fancy furniture. In stead we focus on keeping cost's down so that we can keep rent at a minimum. You'll get a clean, functional space, with high-speed internet access, a printer and more - for much less than the price of renting your own office, or some of the alternatives.
